Refund Policy

A 14-day refund window on paid plans, how renewals and cancellations work, and how to get your money back without an argument.

01In short

If a paid plan is not what you expected, ask within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. You do not need to justify it.

This applies to your first payment on a plan, and to lifetime purchases. Renewal charges are covered in section 4.

02Subscriptions

Monthly and annual plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of the first charge, whether or not you have used the library in that time.

After 14 days you can still cancel, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period that has already started, except where the service was unavailable for a sustained period through our fault or where the law requires it.

03Lifetime purchases

Lifetime plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, on the same no-questions basis.

After that window, a lifetime purchase is final, because it grants permanent access to the library as it stood at the time of purchase.

04Renewals and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically. Turn off auto-renewal in the billing portal at any time before the renewal date and you will not be charged again.

If a renewal charge catches you by surprise, write to us within 7 days of the charge and we will normally refund it, provided the plan has not been used materially in the new period.

We send a reminder before an annual renewal so this should not happen silently.

05How to request a refund

Email altaveratechnologies@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the plan name and the date of the charge, or the invoice number from your receipt.

You can also reply to the receipt email, which reaches the payment processor directly. Either route works; emailing us is usually faster because we can look at your account.

We reply within two business days, and approve or explain the decision in that reply.

07When we may decline

  • The request arrives after the window described above, and no legal right applies.
  • The account was closed or access was withdrawn for a breach of the Terms of Service — for example, redistributing the library or sharing a seat.
  • There is a pattern of repeated purchase-and-refund on the same plan, which suggests the library is being used as a free trial on an ongoing basis.
  • A chargeback or payment dispute is already open for the same charge.

08Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a chargeback. A dispute freezes the funds and takes weeks to resolve, while an email to us is usually settled the same week.

If a chargeback is opened, access to the paid plan is suspended while the dispute is investigated, and restored if the dispute is resolved in your favour.

09Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy reduces rights you have under the consumer law of your own country, including any statutory cooling-off period or right to a remedy where a digital service is faulty.

Where your statutory rights are stronger than this policy, they apply instead.
